2007 was an exciting year of change for us at Care Net! The Lord provided for us although we went through major transition in focus and leadership. As we hold fast to His principles of stewardship, our budget for 2007 is $430,000. We have worked diligently to decrease our operational expenses, streamline center operations while expanding our client base.
Church Involvement
- Baby Bottle Boomerang - fill baby bottles provided by Care Net with coins, dollars or checks... return to Care Net 6 weeks later when your campaign is completed.
- Baby Showers - youth, women's, men's, life-groups o rothers organize a "Baby Shower" for Care Net.
- Use Your Imagination - small groups are often very creative in finding fun ways to inspire members, while benefiting the center.

My life was changed forever: the Lord brought my precious son into this world. The journey before his birth was one of hard endurance and tough moments. My pregnancy was un-planned and a surprise to most. However, my God did not allow me to endure the hardship by myself.
I was introduced to Care Net Pregnancy Center during my 4th month of pregnancy. They provided a free pregnancy test, my first ultrasound, ongoing support services, mentoring, abstinence education and support. Not only did I receive mental and emotional support, but I was part of an incentives program that allows clients to use Care Net Cash earned for attending classes and counseling to purchase necessities for my baby. During my pregnancy, my family and Care Net were good stewards of reminding me that He was in charge and there was a plan for my life. Most importantly, He was in charge of my son's precious life.
As a single mom in college, I do not have the funds to give to Care Net the way they so graciously gave to me. However, I am given an opportunity to urge others to give. CareNet's fund-raising events are one way to support the ministry. The funds raised for Care Net allow them to continue to offer life-affirming services to women facing unexpected pregnancy. As a believer, there are several things you can do to help:
- Pray for the women and men that face unexpected pregnancy in Central Texas. Pray that our God will lead them to the right resources during their time of trouble. Pray for Care Net's ministry, services, and needed funds.
- Pledge your gifts towards fundraising events and other needs.
- Take part in the efforts of this ministry through their outreach into the community.
Of these three things, may your prayer be priority. It is because of believers getting on their knees that this organization exists.
